Subdural haematoma

 Subdural Hematoma  :-

                      Subdural Hematoma is a common neurosurgical disorder that require surgical intervention. It is a type of intracranial hemorrhage that occur beneath the dura ( essential a collection of blood over the surface of the brain ) and may be associated with other brain injuries.

Symptoms :-

  • Headache which gradually increased over several days.
  • Nausea and vomiting. 
  • weakness change in behaviour. 
Treatment :-

  • CT or MRI scan help in diagnosis and confirming their extent of the bleed. 
  • Surgery a small hole is drilled in the skull of brain the blood and release the pressure. 
  • Majority  of the patient show significant improvement of the drains with only few long  term side effects.
