Intraparenchymal Hemorrhage Bleed Drainange
Intraparenchymal Hemorrhage (IPH):-
Intraparenchymal Hemorrhage (IPH) is one form of intracerebral bleeding in which there is bleeding with in brain parenchyma. The other form is intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH).
Sign and Symptoms :-
Clinical manifestations of intraprenchymal hemorrhage are determined by the size and location of hemorrhage but may include the following :
- Hypertension
- Fever
- Thalamus contralateral hemiparesis, contralateral sensory loss.
- Confusion
Diagnosis :-
CT Scan :-
CT Scan may be normal if it is done soon after the oneset of symptoms. A CT Scan is best test to look for bleeding in or around your brain.
MRI :-
A special MRI technique may show evidence of an artery supply blood to brain stroke within minute of symptoms oneset.
Treatment :-
Treatment depends on the location,extent and cause of the bleeding . A craniotomy is sometime done to remove blood abnormal blood vessels or a tumor. May be used to reduce swelling, prevent lower blood pressure and control pain.
