UNIVERSAL PRECAUTIONS

 INTRODUCTION 

                       Universal precautions means the steps or techniques followed always by every health personnel to prevent it  infection transmission. These are common all over the globe. 

1. Hand Washing :-

                                 Hand washing is an aseptic technique to as cleaning of hands with the help of soap to prevent harm to nurse and to other . Hand washing should be done regularly to prevent cross  infection  prevention disease transmitted blood and body fluid.

2. Personal Protective Equipment :-

                                                  These are certain equipment or protective items worn by healgth personnel to prevent himself from infection. Personnel protective equipment creates a barrier between potentially harmful organism and an individual. 

3. Wearing Personal Protective Equipment :-

   PPE are wear in a following series :

                                              1. Gown 

                                              2. Shoes 

                                              3. Mask

                                              4. Eye protector

                                              5. Gloves 

4. Biomedical Waste Management  :-

                                                     Biomedical waste is defined as waste defined as waste generated during diagnosis,treatment and immunization of human beings or animals or in research activities. Biomedical waste management is refer to as proper collection and disposal of waste.
